A Study in Snowdrops

Written by Laura Griffin, A Study in Snowdrops was Boston Playgoers’ entry into the 2025 Hunstanton One Act Play Festival.

Setting: The florist shop known as Back to the Fuschia. Present day in an undisclosed but rural English town. A customer comes into a florist shop with a very unusual request related to the Victorian language of flowers.

We were proud to receive nominations for Best Adult Production, Best Technical for our set, Best Actress for Jo Moules’ sublime performance as Mabel and Best Actor for Julian Warrick’s skillful portrayal of Freddie. The cast and director had an amazing time bringing Laura’s beautiful script to life. As a society we were delighted to continue to be open and welcoming to brand new members with Jo and Craig taking to the stage with Boston Playgoers for the first time.
